Democrats, or rather, let’s call them Obstructionists, will probably go to all lengths to block ANY nominee President Bush appoints to the Supreme Court, as they have done with many of his other nominations.

Yeah, my personal vote is for Janice Rogers Brown. They would be hard-pressed to suddenly find some “extraordinary” reason to fillibuster her.

That ad is really good. The problem with having both the White House and the Senate in one party’s hands is that it tends to create justices who align with that party’s agenda. The point of indirect voting and lifetime tenures is so that justices are removed from the political process: They should not take into account the political preferences of the country in the way that the Senate should.
